The Happel Foundation is also a cooperation partner of Swisscontact in Uganda. There, the project “Dynamic Markets – Sustainable Cocoa and Honey” supports small farmers and beekeepers from cultivation to sale.

This enables them to significantly increase their production volumes and the quality of their products. As a result, they can achieve certification and gain access to regional and international markets. This secures their income in the long term.

Transparency in the production chain is required for certification and access to international markets. A digital traceability system is being set up to provide this transparency.
