Selection of former projects in Switzerland
The Happel Foundation gives support for people in Switzerland (mainly Central Switzerland) who are in social and/or economic distress through no fault of their own. The beneficiaries are social hardship cases that cannot find support through public authorities or anywhere else and who are thus threatened to “fall through the cracks of the system”.
This also includes institutions that give support to people in distress and are specialized in working with such people in need. For more detailed information please check our areas of activity.
Here you will find a selection of former projects in Switzerland that the Happel Foundation has supported.
The Happel Foundation covered the costs for the Fachstelle Schuldenberatung (Center for Debt Counseling) in Lucerne to move to its central premises, where it can provide services for those people in need.
The Happel Foundation supported the offer Listened to of the Heilsarmée, which offers help to relatives of detainees in this special situation.
The Happel Foundation supported anastasis' "ETHNIC COOK" project, which promotes the integration of migrants into the labor market through a catering service.
Also in Switzerland many people live in poverty and have debt. And once affected, it is difficult to get out of this situation. It is therefore particularly important to avoid debt in good time or to reduce it again quickly. A great tool for this is the app BudgetCH from the Dachverband Budgetberatung Schweiz. It can be used to control the spending more easily and to create a clearly arranged budget. BudgetCH has been actively used for years and has become an important tool for budgeting in private households.
